Where we work
We are based in the Vale of Belvoir, near Grantham in Lincolnshire, on the borders of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. That places us at the heart of the East Midlands, within easy reach of a large part of central and eastern England.
Our base
The Vale of Belvoir
Barlows Farm sits in the Vale of Belvoir, a quiet stretch of farmland on the Lincolnshire and Leicestershire border, within sight of Belvoir Castle. It is a working base; the horses live here, the carriages are kept here, and every departure starts here.
We are approximately 20 minutes from the A1, 25 minutes from the A52, within easy range of the A46 and the M1 corridor. Grantham station is on the East Midlands main line with direct services to London Kings Cross, useful to know if you are travelling from further afield.
For clients in our home counties of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland there is no travel supplement. You simply pay for the service.
Belvoir Castle
Our partnership estate
Belvoir Castle is one of England's great country houses, set in Leicestershire parkland just a few miles from our base. We have a longstanding relationship with the estate and operate carriage rides through its grounds, along quiet lanes past the castle, through parkland, with views that stop people in their tracks.
If you are planning a private hire, anniversary ride, or corporate event and want the most impressive possible backdrop, Belvoir is the natural choice. It is the kind of setting that makes a photograph for life.

Always clear before you commit
For clients within our home patch (Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland), there is no travel supplement. You pay for the service, nothing more.
For extended counties, a travel element is calculated based on distance and time. This is always quoted to you before any booking is confirmed and before any payment is made. There are no surprise charges.
If you are unsure whether your venue falls within our regular area, just ask. We would rather tell you clearly and let you decide than have anything feel unexpected.
