The horses live here. Barlows Farm is on the edge of Grantham, in the Vale of Belvoir, and every carriage we take out starts and ends in this yard. If you are getting married, arranging a funeral or booking a ride in Grantham, you are not hiring someone who travels in. You are hiring your neighbours.
The yard
Barlows Farm
Barlows Farm sits in a quiet stretch of farmland on the Lincolnshire and Leicestershire border, within sight of Belvoir Castle and a few minutes from the A1 and the A52. It is a working base, not an address on a website: the horses are kept here, the carriages are kept here, and the driving lessons go out from the gate.
Being local is not a small thing on the day. It means we can come and look at your venue before you book it. It means we are not adding an hour of travel to either end of a wedding morning. And it means there is no travel supplement on a Grantham booking, because there is nothing to travel.
You are welcome to come and meet the horses before you commit to anything. Most people do.

Danny has driven professionally since 2007. The horses are Gelderlander Dutch warmbloods and Hungarian Lippizaners, and they have worked at Olympia and Wembley — which is the reason they stand quietly on a Grantham high street, past traffic, in front of a church full of people.

Coming from further away
Grantham station is on the East Midlands main line with direct trains to London Kings Cross, which is worth knowing if your family is travelling to the wedding.

Because we are local we can go and look at the approach, the gateway and where the horses can stand, before you commit to a date.
Belvoir Castle
A few miles from the yard, in Leicestershire parkland. We have a longstanding relationship with the estate and run carriage rides through its grounds.
